Printing to LPT1 timed out.
In any problem like this it is recomended that you try to print a self test page, this
will
help to determin wheather the problem is with the printer or the connection to the
printer. (please refer to the user manual for instructions on doing this).

I print in colour, but it comes out black & white.
The first thing to check in this instance would be the ink cartridges, ensure that the
colour cartridge has ink. If you have checked the above try running the head cleaning
process as described in your printers user manual. Also try pyshicaly cleaning the
print heads, this will also be detailed in the printers user manual. Another thing
would be to test the self test page as some of these will use colour, if this prints with
colour the problem may be with the print drivers or software set up in the program
you are printing from.
I print, but the page is corrupted.
Is the correct printer driver installed and printer configured correctly? If the printer
is
attached to a serial interface, check interface settings on both the computer and
printer? (e.g. baud rate, parity and word length.) Does another printer attached to the
same cabling print correctly? If not check the cabling, computer interface; and
software configuration.
The printer always takes more than one sheet of paper.
With some printers there are ways to set the media type, this will affect the above
problem, therefore reffer to the user manual to see how to set this, if you do not have
this option or it doesn't affect the outcome try using a different paper weight as there
are many different types and thicknesses (note: most manufacturer's offer
recomended paper for their printers).
