Printer Installation

Please follow these instructions in order to install a new printer.

• Ensure that your PC is switched off.
• Plug your printer in to the relevant port (usb, parallel).
• Power up the printer.
• Next power up the printer.
• As Windows starts up you should notice a dialog box appear saying ''New
  hardware found''. At this point Windows may prompt you to insert the
  manufacturer's installation disk.
• Insert the disk if required and click ok.
• If a dialog box appears saying "File not found!" click the browse button.
• Now type ''y:\win9x'' (without the quotes)**
• Click OK.
• Windows will then load the relevant info, it may ask you to re-start (please do
  so if asked) if not the printer should be installed ready to use.
  
  ** y=letter of the drive the manufacturer's disk is in x=the version of Windows you are
  using i.e. 95 or 98.
